The Chamber, as a membership organization, reflects the needs and interests of its members and works hard to support them. The importance of joining the Chamber is the reality that more can be done collectively working together than as individuals. The Chamber is the leading business organization that unites businesses together for the common goal of sustaining economic improvement and development. The strength of the Chamber is in numbers. The Chamber is the only organization in our area that does any outward marketing to promote Bar Harbor. By becoming a member of the Chamber you are taking an active role in helping your community and your business.

The Chamber can provide extensive marketing exposure for your business or organization at a level that would be too expensive for you to do on your own. Each year we produce 225,000 guidebooks that are distributed around the world and throughout the United States to visitors who are interested in traveling to Bar Harbor. The Chamber also maintains two highly visited websites barharborinfo.com and acadiainfo.com. In 2008 the two websites saw nearly a million unique visitors, that's over 45 million hits. These are just a few of the many marketing opportunities the Chamber offers you.

You also gain a voice at the local, state, and federal government levels through membership.
